Buttercream is a baker's best friend, but it can be fussy in both pastry bags and bad weather. Learn the basics and all new techniques with our Pastry Chef. This course will take you through the steps of preparing buttercream, crumb coating a cake, and decorating it with different piping techniques.

  • Materials required (Available at Miles Cake & Candy Supplies)
    • 2- 8x4 cakes or cake dummies
    • 2- 10" cake drum
    • 2- 10x10x5 cake box
    • 2 lbs. Sweetex
    • 4 lbs. Confectioner's sugar (10X)
    • Disposable Piping bags
    • Tips 1M, 1A, 18,  68, 70, 126, 233.
    • 7- 12" piping bags
  • Refreshments included.
    • Tools will be provided for duration of the class.
